I got the PRO1000 12in. Perfect for my infield needs. Quality. Needs some time for break in, but will last a lifetime.

    Classic perfection.

Just got my Rawlings PRO1000HC 12 Inch glove this evening and I can assure you, it is absolutely amazing. It will take some time to break-in, I already conditioned it and it got the tan color a tad darker. Beautiful glove. Thank you ballgloves for an amazing service!

    Horween Magic

This is the 2nd Horween Leather glove I have purchased in the last month. It is equally good, if not better than the 1st. Both arrived in great condition, and have that distinctive Horween smell. The leather is what I call classic tan and is stiff; not likely to wear out or break down anytime soon. I am a grandfather who wanted the Trap-eze model because it reminds me of my 1960 Stan Musial Trap-eze that I got as a present. That one wasnt up to pro standards, of course; but this one is! I love it, and will keep it till time dictates I pass it on. This H-web glove is now in the possession of my grandson, who thought he wanted a new Wilson A2K.... the one with the dimples all over the palm for spin control. I suggested he try this one for a while to see if he really needed anything else. My guess is he won't. This glove will stay sturdy (which he really demands of his infield glove!) No floppy Nicky Lopez model for him. He wants to be able to stop any ball within range and quickly make the throw. This one will help him do just that.
No feedback yet from him; his first fall game is still a couple of weeks out.
I love this leather, and I love these gloves.

    Nice quality

4/5, leather is nice and feels great, only downfall is that it came with a scuff/scratch on glove. Horween tan leather is lighter than others I have, but still a nice tone. Not as stiff as your usual horween tanks, but still like a heart of the hide should be. Would recommend this glove to any player looking for a glove that will last.

    Rawlings PRO1000HC 12”

Classic ballglove. I bought this in 2020 so I can’t speak for previous batches of horween but I will say that this one was not sadistically stiff out of the box. It’s been a pleasure to break in, surprisingly lighter than some other 12” gloves I’ve had. A favorite, along with the PROSXSC.

    A Tank

When my older sons were toddlers, I invested in this glove with the idea that it would be the one I would play catch and teach them baseball with. Now that they are older, I am thankful I did.
This is a great pattern, whether you plan on playing baseball or softball infield. Deep pocket, good optics with the open web, expertly constructed from Horween leather.
So long as no one takes it while I am practicing with batting with the boys, it will be the last glove I will ever own. Perhaps I will hand it down to one of them, when they get older.

    One of the greats

Posted by Tornado on Jul 25th 2017

One of the best representations of what a baseball glove should be. A classic design, truly does everything well.

The leather is excellent, equal to and well above most of what you will see in the highest of the high end gloves, and about as close as we will ever going to get to the old school C55 Horween again. They just dont make it like that anymore. Even the cows are different now, lol.

If you dont own one of these, you probably should.

Leather feels a lot better than stock HoH. Tan Lace is very nice. The liner feels nice and the overall look of the glove is great.
