Sierra Romero is a professional softball player from Murrieta, California, who is widely regarded as one of the top players in the sport. She was born on March 16, 1994, and grew up playing softball with her sisters, who also went on to play college softball.

Romero played college softball at the University of Michigan from 2013 to 2016, where she had an outstanding career as a shortstop. She set numerous records during her time at Michigan, including the NCAA record for career runs scored (300) and the Big Ten record for career batting average (.441). She was also a three-time Big Ten Player of the Year and a four-time All-American.

After college, Romero was drafted second overall by the USSSA Pride in the National Pro Fastpitch league. She has continued to have a successful career in the league, earning All-NPF honors in multiple seasons and winning a championship with the Pride in 2018.

Romero has also represented the United States in international competition, winning a gold medal at the 2015 Pan American Games and a silver medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. She is known for her exceptional skills as a hitter and fielder, as well as her leadership both on and off the field.
