What is a Velociraptor?
Velociraptor is a genus of dromaeosaurid theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, about 75 to 71 million years ago. It was a small, feathered bipedal dinosaur, with a long tail and a large sickle-shaped claw on each hind foot. Velociraptors are well-known from the fossil record and have been featured in popular culture, most notably in the Jurassic Park franchise.
