Stunning!
The DCT pattern is every bit as good as advertised, maybe better.
This is not a Rawlings R2G glove, and that is a compliment. It has real structure, but the break-in was easier than I expected. The glove starts to give where it should without ever feeling like it is going to collapse. You can tell it will hold its shape, which is exactly what I want from a first base mitt.
The Timberglaze leather is gorgeous. Sultry, sophisticated, and full of character. After I treated it with a little Renapur, the color and depth became even better. It did not change the glove so much as reveal more of what was already there.
I am going to play this one two in the pinky, finger out, and it is supremely comfortable that way. The pocket feels natural, the shape feels right, and the whole glove has that classic Rawlings confidence without feeling ordinary.
This was also my first purchase from Ballgloves.com, and they were excellent. The glove shipped immediately, and when I asked a few technical questions about the Timberglaze leather, they engaged promptly and thoughtfully over email. That kind of service matters, especially when buying a glove at this level. I will absolutely buy from them again.

Timberglaze DCT
Just got my Rawlings TimberGlaze DCT first base mitt and wow... this thing is a beast. Out of the box, you can instantly feel the quality. The leather is stiff but super high-end—typical Heart of the Hide feel, which I actually like because I can shape it exactly how I want. You’re not getting a floppy pancake here.
