New Features and Carryover Features on the CATX2 Connect

The CATX2 Connect introduces several updates and maintains some key features from previous models:

New Features:

1. Longer Barrel Design (BBCOR only)

   • The CATX2 Connect BBCOR now has a 0.25” longer barrel with an updated internal wall design. This provides players with a wider usable barrel area and an increased sweet spot, adding more mass and a slightly heavier swing weight for greater power.

2. S-Series Handles

   • Each weight drop now has a specific composite handle construction tailored to the age and level of the player. The new handles offer a softer, more flexible feel to create more “whip” during the swing and a better feel at contact:
     • BBCOR: S-35 handle (~5% less stiff than the previous S-40 handle)
     • SL -5: S-30 handle (~10% less stiff than the previous S-40 handle)
     • SL -8/-10: S-25 handle (~15% less stiff than the previous S-40 handle)
     • JBB: S-20 handle (~20% less stiff than the previous S-40 handle)

3. Liquid-Gel System

   • The Liquid-Gel Knob has been added to all sizes of the CATX2 Connect:
     • It features a precise amount of liquid-gel in the knob to absorb vibrations and reduce sting.
   • The new Liquid-Gel Endcap is also included in all sizes:
     • It features liquid-gel in the center of the endcap to help absorb vibrations and sting.

Carryover Features:

1. OLS Connection

   • The Outer Locking System (OLS) is a patented connection technology that connects the barrel to the handle using internal threads and an outer locking sleeve. This creates an ultra-stiff connection for maximum energy transfer to the ball while reducing unwanted vibrations and sting.

2. Custom-Sized Handle Tapers

   • The CATX2 Connect continues to use custom-sized handle tapers for each weight drop, providing a more ergonomic fit and improved bat control.

3. Senior League Barrels

   • The Senior League barrels retain the larger overall diameter introduced in the CATX Connect, which are closer to the maximum allowable limit. This increases the diameter by approximately 2.5mm on average, allowing for a more flexible barrel and higher performance.

4. Balance

   • The CATX2 Connect maintains a slight end-load, placing it between a mid-load and end-load balance point for BBCOR, SL-5, SL-8, and SL-10 models.
