The Horween Leather Company has been making high quality, naturally tanned leather since 1905. Isadore Horween first saw leathers at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair and decided he could do better. Since then five generations of Horweens have been producing leather in Chicago, IL, USA. The Horween Leather Company is one of the few tanneries in the USA that still does the whole process in-house.

Made from Horween, the glove is very stiff right out of the box, which speaks to its quality and durability. The handstall and wrist opening is on the narrow side, making it a bit snug at first, but I expect it to mold perfectly to my hand with time and with some adjustments. Its classic look adds a touch of nostalgia to the game. Overall, I’m looking forward to breaking it in and making it my go-to glove for seasons to come.
