What’s the difference between the Vandal and the NOX?
One-piece Hybrid vs. Two-piece Hybrid Construction
The Vandal is a one-piece hybrid that features an aluminum barrel with a 2” composite barrel-end. The NOX is a two-piece hybrid with a carbon composite handle and alloy barrel that is connected using the 2SIX connection.
Balanced vs. End-loaded Feel
Because composite is a lighter raw material than aluminum, the 2” composite barrel-end on the Vandal lowers the M.O.I, producing a very low swing weight and super balanced feel preferred by contact hitters. Since the NOX has a carbon composite handle and alloy barrel, the opposite effect takes place. This construction produces a high M.O.I. with a high swing weight and end-loaded feel preferred by power hitters.
Connection
The NOX is a two-piece hybrid, and the bat’s handle and barrel are connected using our newest Two Smooth Impact Connection (2SIX). The 2SIX is a double-banded, vibration reducing design which helps to reduce as much sting as possible while also keeping the connection stiff. The Vandal is a one-piece alloy design. Although the construction is also stiff, the Vandal does not have any vibration reducing technology.
What are the similarities between the Vandal and the NOX?
1) Both the Vandal and NOX are designed with ring-less multi-variable wall barrels with no dead spots.
2) Both bats’ handles feature a micro-perforated soft touch grip for improved feel and control.
