In 1946 Kyozo Sasaki, the founder of SSK, established a sporting goods shop in Kyoto, Japan. In 1979 SSK production of baseball gloves began in Shanghai, China. In 2002 SSK established its owned baseball glove factory named in Xiamen, China.

A lot of pro players have used SSK baseball gloves throughout the years. Javier Baez, Fernando Tatis, and Robinson Cano wore models to name a few.
